My name is Scotty Boman and I want to be the next U.S. Senator from the state of Michigan.

Yes, I face an uphill battle -- a Libertarian has never been elected to the Senate. But even if I fall short, my campaign can still be a tremendous success. That's because unlike the Democratic and Republican candidates in this race, I'm not running for personal glory or to further my career: I'm running to further the Ron Paul/Libertarian ideals of Peace, Liberty, and Prosperity.

Ultimately, educating the public about the dangers of our neoconservative foreign policy, the evil of the Federal Reserve System, and the importance of adhering to the Original Intent of the Constitution are far more important than an electoral victory. It's my goal to use my candidacy as a vehicle to spread Ron Paul's message, revitalize the Michigan for Ron Paul campaign, and build the Libertarian Party -- the rightful home of Ron Paul R3VOLutionaries. Don't forget, it was the Libertarian Party that gave Ron Paul its presidential nomination in 1988. That's when I first met Dr. Paul, and I was proud to give him my vote twenty years ago this November.

I was officially nominated by the Libertarian Party on June 7, and since then, I've been humbled by the generosity of supporters who have stepped forward and offered to help. I already have dozens of volunteers signed up, including a Campaign Manager and a Fundraising Director. This is going to be a REAL campaign! We're going to spread Ron Paul's name and message, as well as that of the Libertarian Party, to millions of Michiganders who can look around themselves and see that the Democratic/Republican status quo isn't working for them. Here's how we intend to do it:

• Establishing a dominant online presence with cost-effective and geographically targeted Google Adwords campaigns, Facebook ads, and banner ads on libertarian and constitutionalist blogs and news sites.
• Distributing thousands of yard signs and campaign materials such as issue-specific "slim jims" for supporters to pass on to their neighbors.
• Putting up billboards touting the R3VOLution, Ron Paul's message, and the Libertarian Party.
• Hitting the airwaves with radio ads calling for a non-interventionist foreign policy, an end to the Federal Reserve System and the income tax, and restoration of the Constitution.
• Producing cost-effective TV ads with a service like Spot Runner and targeting them in markets and to audiences most susceptible to the message of liberty.
• Reaching liberty-minded voters with professionally produced direct mail.
• Supporting Libertarian local affiliates by advertising and hosting events in every county in the state.

But in order to do all of this, we need your help.
